Father returns stolen coins to store

He may have made it out of the store, but a
25-year-old man faces theft charges after his
father returned four rare coins the man stole
last week.
The Orem man, 25, went to Rust Coins near 252
E. 300 South on Wednesday. He asked the store
attendant to see four rare coins - valued
around $4,000, according to charges filed
Tuesday in 3rd. District Court. After the
attendant set them on the counter, the man
grabbed the coins and dashed out the door,
escaping in a tan car.
The man's father later returned the coins,
charges state.
The man faces one count of retail
theft - a third-degree felony.

Better late than never. When I was 5 a girl down the street and I
each swiped a candy bar from a nearby store. Our parents frog-marched
us back, crying all the way, made us apologize to the owner and pay
up. It was a lesson well learned and never forgotten.

2 dollar pack of baseball cards and I was 10 or 12. Was my mother that
marched me down. Last thing I ever took without paying.
