From Coin World:

"Sales of bourse tables for the ANA convention in August in Chicago are well
ahead of schedule while those for the fall show in Pittsburgh in October are
beyond expectations."

It remains to be seen how much customer traffic they attract, and how long
the vendors hang around, but this would seem to bode well as far as dealer
expectations go.

as they buy and sell to one another? I can't help feeling there are two
distinct groups in the hobby- - those who expect to jump all over the
advertised 5- and 6-figure big dealer offerings........... and the rest of
us. Whenever a few high profile coins sell for more than expected, the
numismatic media always seems to declare the hobby to be robust and growing.

Yep, the preference for D2D action and/or scoring a few major sales to the
virtual exclusion of smaller retail selling over the duration of the show is
aggravating and insulting to us humble collectors. Which is why I noted the
question of how long they man their tables.
