FWIW, I was given a pleasing gift of a brand new red BU 2008 Great
Britain 2 Pence today, while out doing the squished penny business at
the International Route 66 Festival here in Springpatch.

While I am still not sure about the whole British "shield" series
concept, this new two pence is very pleasing. It is very
"scottish" (standing rampant lion) and the field of the shield
provides a nice "dimpling" backround.
Maybe the whole of this design series will not be so pleasing; but
IMHO the new two pence is O.K.
