Am I the only one experiencing delivery difficulties with Coin World?
The 12/27 issue never arrived and the 1/3 issue is MIA.
Over the last few months I have had to repeated get Coin World to send
replacement issues for those that never arrive.
I don't seem to be having any problems with the other dozen or so magazines and
papers I subscribe to, so I'm thinking something is wrong on their end.
I like reading Coin World but I am becoming increasingly frustrated with their
non-delivery and shitty attitude toward solving what is clearly their problem.

My 12/27 and 1/3 editions both arrived either yesterday or today. I
was out of town, so I don’t know which. The "wrapped" editions seem
to get here considerably faster than the "unwrapped" ones.

I’ve been assuming that either a) the “wrapped” editions go through
different sorting paths to arrive in less time, or b) someone at the
USPS is putting eyetracks on my copies. I wasn’t assuming anything
amiss at Amos.

Actually, there is little that CW can do about the problem. Some years
ago I had a problem with a numismatic publication, not CW. It arrived
but sometimes up to 5 weeks late, with dog-eared pages and even pages
with the corners turned down for reference. Someone was clearly
reading the magazine and taking his sweet time about it. I talked with
the publishers and found that the problem had to be at one of two post
offices, one close by (25 miles) and the other 75 miles. I wrote a
letter to both postmasters – and could have saved the postage.

I visited the near-by office and got a promise from that postmaster
that he would look into it. He didn’t. Then I was in my local post
office one day talking to one of the clerks (I already knew that the
problem was not local because my local carrier is a good friend) and
mentioned how frustrating all of this was. A man standing behind her
asked me to repeat what I said and I did. He then said he was a postal
inspector and took the exact details of my complaint. The next week
the magazine arrived on time and has ever since.

been accomplished :(
