I have a 1865 one cent coin that looks like an indian head but is
not. One the front where an indian head has 'United States of
America' , this coin has stars. On the back, the wreath is similar to
an 1859 indian (no wreath). What is it?

Thanks
Diana

Change 'On the back, the wreath is similar to an 1859 indian (no
wreath).' to 'On the back, the wreath is similar to an 1859 indian
(no shield).' sorry.

Scan it and put it on the binary group. OR send it to me by email and I'll
put it on a web page.
You should be able to decipher my email

My gues is that the date is 1863, not 1865. And perhaps the word NOT
was scratched off over ONE CENT. This sounds like a Civil War token.
