Fine coins cause bomb scare

Hello

I am not sure the size of the UK 10p coin. I
think that would only be three rolls of coins.
This was received in a package. That would be
300, 10p coins to pay the fine.

It's not funny, but I would bet someone would
try to do the same thing here in the United
States.

Fine coins cause bomb scare

A motorist inadvertently caused a bomb scare when
he paid a £30 fixed penalty notice with 10p coins.

The package, which cost £7 to post, arrived at a
ticket office in Ipswich. Staff alerted police
who called the bomb squad, based in Colchester.

Officers closed the road and evacuated the town
centre building, but X-ray technology confirmed
the false alarm by disclosing the contents of
the parcel.

It turned out that a disgruntled individual had sent in apayment by tightly jamming hundreds of folded dollar bills into asmall cookie tin. It took them a couple of hours to have the bombsquad clear it, flatten out and count it the bills, so I guess he gotthe revenge that he wanted.
