Rightly or wrongly, Congress mandated the production of these

What's so petty about being a U.S. Congressman??? (Or at least a good
Republican member).
They each got at least 70,000 votes more than you or I.
I would bet the idea for the hockey pucks came out of Mr. Moy's front
office. I don't think they get it (what makes a numismatist "tick",
that is).

There's nothing petty about being a U.S. Congresscritter. But
we hire them to work together and solve the hard problems, not
to produce "feel good" legislation like this.
In my experience, Republicans can be just as petty as Democrats.
