I recently have got the following message from eBay about my being below
the minimum standard and will be subject to holds on my PayPal and
possible account termination starting May 31. I am on eBay since
August 11, 1997 almost 14 years and am not aware of ANY problems with
my transactions. I have 88 positive feedback with a 100% score. If I go
to the link provided in the email for the Seller Dashboard to see the
details of the current problem, I get a message saying I am not eligible
to access this feature until I have at least 10 current ratings. How am
I to understand what the penalty is being based on if I cant see the
data? And trying to contact someone for help at Costomer Service is a
waste of effort, they make it unreasonably difficult to access a human
and I cant even find a way to email them. Some one on a patriot board
gave me a phone number for costomer service but when I dialed them they
wanted me to enter an access code that I am supposed to of gotten and I
dont have. I am totally confused here.

Some additional background. I decided to sell some more of my silver
dollars recentlly because silver is nearly $50 an ounce. Thats it. Im
the prototypical small occasional seller. I also had some really nice
silver dollars in SEGS plastic which eBay keeped ending saying they are
violate the counterfeit policy.

It sure sounds that eBay has made a decision that I am just too stupid
and dishonest to be on their system and my costomers are too stupid to
know what they are bidding on, and just want to get rid of me and
sellers like me.

Since I dont rely on this as a business for income, I guess Ill take the
hint. There are other places like I can post an occasional item for
sale (and I can offer to take checks and Western express moneygrams if
they prefer it, something I cant do on eBay).

Yeah, they dont offer the traffic that eBay does, but for what I want, I
dont really care. And along with taking my selling elsewhere, I will
take my buying as well (and I buy far more than I sell). And I will be
sure to make my feelings known to my friends and family.

Just seems like a dumb move on eBays part. Its no longer worth the
hassle there.

Dear ~~~~~~
Several weeks ago, we wrote to tell you about coming updates that may
affect your selling. This is a reminder to take action now to make sure
you're ready.

Update to the way sellers below eBay's minimum performance standards are
paid through PayPal

Starting May 31, sellers who fall below eBay's minimum performance
standards may have their buyer payments show as pending in their PayPal
account for a period of time to help ensure successful fulfillment.

Your account was below the minimum standard as of this writing. If youre
subject to this update, you'll be notified when you list and you'll
receive an email notification from PayPal when your funds are pending.
Youll also find information in My eBay showing the estimated date funds
will be available and steps you can take to help get your funds faster.

What you need to do:

Stay on top of your status in your Seller Dashboard.
Follow best practices to get above standard.
Always upload tracking information to eBay and ship the same day the
buyer pays to have your funds available faster. Note if you print
shipping labels on eBay or PayPal, tracking information is uploaded
automatically and funds will be available for shipping.
Consider offering free shipping.
Check that you are complying with eBay category-specific rules for
selling.

Get details on the 2011 Spring Seller Update. Use the Seller Checklist
to stay on top of important dates. For more insight, visit the archived
webinar held several weeks ago on these updates.

As always, we appreciate your selling on eBay.

It's odd that costomer service is not being of help, especially since you
have 100% positive feedback.

Perhaps if you purchase a few apostrophes, they might provide their secret
access code.

Wow. Can you explain how your "business" has been so successful?
Selling 6-7 items a year must be tough.

You poor little aioe.org user. You all come here with complaints.
I think I see your problem.

What is a Costomer? Are they better or worse than Customers?

_______________

Apparently just one more seller who has come to believe our Constitution
guarantees him access to eBay to conduct business or hobby activities, and
that the unencumbered use of eBay is now one of our Rights. By the same
token, eBay has no right to periodically establish and adjust its rules or
to increase the fees it imposes if this will affect a seller's bottom line.

This board is nasty. the people that are constantly on there are very rude
and malicious. They have nothing better to do then make fun of people. I
posted something once simply asking for advice on how to proceed with an
issue with someone. Next thing I know, these nasty regulars on the board
went thru my listings and I started having listings removed, never before
happened. That's right, they went thru my listings specifically for no
other reason then to be horrible. And then there are ones with vulgar words
in response to all. Classless. Tacky. Scummy. I go sometimes now and read
the posts from these nasty people like Lumpy, Kris, etc and think "wow. what
a pathetic bunch of people. You take pleasure in hurting people's
businesses. What a sad life you must have that you have to involve yourself
in others and cause damage to them for fun. If I wasn't so disgusted by your
behavior I would feel bad for you." They should be ashamed but they're not.
They are probably all on their right now looking for someone else to
victimze so they can get a laugh

My selling status (MajesticArtDesign) was revoked after selling on ebay for
11 years. My feedback has always been at or over 99%.Over the last year I
have had 5 wack jobs who identified and gave me 1-2's in the new improved
feedback breakdown. My averages are all still just under about 4.8. I have
always paid fees on time and made ebay and paypal great money.

You're a big man now, but he'll cut you down to size

Wait and see!

If I were you, I'd take a permanent vacation

You're gonna be sorry you were ever born

'Cause he's kind of big and he's awful strong

Ebay used to be the best. I depended on it for everything being that I am
disabled and used Ebay auction as a way to pay doctor's bills. I had to get
aid from my church stake for a while until I got back on Ebay. I have had
multiple problems now with Ebay when it comes to being a seller. Does Ebay
not realize they get paid by the seller and NOT by the buyer? The buyer pays
nothing. Yet we, the sellers, get the s**t end of the stick at every turn. I
can not even get ahead anymore as I have people getting items home who admit
to me I did nothing wrong. The item was listed correctly, the description
accurate, and the shipping fast. But they don't like it and they want to
keep the item and they want their money back too. If I do not comply I will
get negative feedback. And guess what? Ebay no longer allows sellers to
leave feedback for buyers. This is ridiculous. Ebay if you read this, you
are losing many sellers everyday, and soon you will have only buyers left,
with nothing for them to buy. You will bottom out if you do not change your
ways. Sellers are tired of being abused by buyers because you give them all
the power and all the privledges, while the sellers get treated like dirt,
yet THEY are the ones that pay your salaries. I suggest you straighten up or
get ready to lose it all. I will be searching for a better auction site that
treats the sellers the way they deserve to be treated, and when I do, I will
post it under every search engine I can find.
By the way I am currently back on ebay and as you can see my feedback is
100% just in case the haters want to blame me
