I spent my coin budget buying a few then realized I could buy a pretty
already toned example. Maybe next week.

Yep, definitely some great new stuff by Daniel Carr on his new US Mint
surplus Grabener Mint Press.
IMO, thirty bucks is a bit steep for a modern privately-minted token,
regardless of how attractive it is. For the same money, you could get a
nice REAL Hard Times Token. Subject-wise, I still kinda prefer the classic
old political protests rather than the same old tired ones of today.
Craftsmanship-wise, the Carr tokens are quite impressive.
Only $10 for the regular copper version, thirty bucks for simulated
wear. (and $20 for special toning.)
I actually thought the one with simulated wear was the neatest looking of
the group. The others looked like.....well, modern tokens.
I liked that one best as well, for the same reason. It's also much easier to see the
details on it as opposed to those lustrous ones.
