Upon arriving at Staples in Forsyth, I proceeded to the UPS desk and
asked if they insure and ship coins. The salesman assured me that they
did, and he could help me package, insure and ship them.
The first coin was a 1937-D Three Leg Buffalo Nickel, which sold for
$520, including shipping and insurance. Staples' UPS center charged me
$9.05 for shipping and $4.50 to insure the coin for up to $500.
The second coin was a 1893 O Silver Dollar, which sold for $157.50,
including shipping and insurance. Staples' UPS center charged me $9.42
for shipping and $1.60 for insurance up to $127.50.
About a week later, I contacted both buyers and asked if they had
received their coins. To my surprise, both coins had been stolen
during the shipping process, and they only received boxes.

Long story short - the seller got full reimbursement from Staples....
We took this to the media relations folks at Staples, and promptly
heard back from an apologetic spokeswoman, Amy Shanler. She said
Staples will pay your entire claim, plus reimburse you for the
shipping costs. It's true that coins are not insurable items through
Staples/UPS; however, because you were given the wrong information,
they're going to take responsibility. You should be getting a check in
the next couple of weeks.
At $520, the coin was either junk or it wasn't really in there to
begin with
