Nice find! I used to order rolls of half dollars from my bank, 10
rolls at a time, but haven't in a long while. I've mined a lot of
silver doing that.
Several months ago, one of the tellers had a handful of half dollars
sitting in her stacking/counting tray. From five or six feet away, I
could see that there were some silver clad coins, so I bought them
all. She was glad to get rid of them. When I asked, she said a
customer traded them in earlier that day. Of the 13 Kennedy halfs, 2
were copper clad, 10 were 40 percent silver, and one was a 1964.
Score!

This is revolting. I went to a local bank and got $120 of halves.
There was no silver at all. Most of the coins were badly worn. I
took them to the bank where I have an account. The teller insisted I
had to have them counted in her machine and took the rolls. She
dropped one roll and lost 3 coins. The machine lost two (although I
was able to convince her manager to open the machine and give back
those 2 coins.
Sure glad it worked for you!
