Unlisted Ancients Registry is a Yahoogroup that exists for the purpose of
cataloging & discussing clearly identifiable ancient coins that apparently
are unlisted in any known standard reference work. It is not a place for
attribution of low-grade "mystery" coins. Nor are we looking for every minor
variant of the known issues. The focus of this group is on coins that are
quite unique and offer us a look at reverse types, etc. that are
significantly different from anything recorded for a certain ruler or city.
We also welcome "mules" (A coin produced using an evidently abnormal and
erroneous die pairing). Our stated purpose is to catalog those unique
"unlisted" coins that can be clearly recognized by ruler or city.

The UAR list is designed as a friendly place for sharing, numbering and
organizing our unique discoveries in the field of Ancient Numismatics. In
time, this site will hopefully become an attribution resource in it's own
right. No commercial posts allowed. If you are interested in "unlisteds",
come share with some like-minded collectors!
