Just went to the grocery store to check out the values in the wine
department - same chain as a few weeks back, different location here
in the Patch - and casually passing the Coinstar machine, there was
one single coin in the machine's reject slot.

I espyed that it was a dime without much ado - then I asked myself
"silver dime"???

Indeed it was.

1948 Roosie, no mintmark.

It was not so much lightweight this time as it had some adhesive on
the reverse.

A situation easily corrected with a bit of hot water.

FWIW, I got $1.80 for the somewhat light-weight 1917 Mercury mentioned
previously as a Coinstar find. This went out on a bigger AG for AU
trade/swap a couple of days ago.

Summeray: Two 90% silver dimes found in the reject slot of Coinstar
machines in less than five weeks (and these finds were serendipity, no
big effort). It makes me wonder what was accepted and inside the
bowels of the machine!!!

Nice coin spotting - don't spend it all in one place!

Hey, it was ugly and lightweight and it was only one piece in a much
bigger swap.

Easy come and easy go.
