Actually I wanted to know how much I paid for those coins.
I purchased them from the mint and wondered if selling them at spot

Absolutely you should make a profit since at today's closing price a silver half
dollar is worth $12.55 and the Mint charged around $7 at the time.
Call around your area for the best deal as some dealer are honest and other not
so much.

Several years ago, when I was actively pursuing modern gold commems, I
would actually do an eBay search for that spelling.

It IS a word, regardless of how one spells it. Unfortunately for those
of us who once studied to get good grades in spelling, grammar, and
penmanship, that's not something people seem to worry as much about today.
Criticizing it has become boorish.

gift shop in Washington DC in 1982 for $12.95. I still have the coin
and the receipt.
