I do not do grading for living. I hope you meant $50 each. Your photography
is MS-65. I would say the 1901 AU58, flat ear and curl. The 1932 AU58, flat
hair, flat wing. The 1853 MS60. The 1927, AU58, rub marks. That said I think
PCGS would grade them, 1901 MS62, 1932, MS-61, 1853, MS-64, 1927, AU-58. All
with CAC stickers.
I would guess that the 1901 $10 is MS64
1853 $20 MS64
the others MS60 to MS62
Your 1853 $20 could easily be a $40,000 plus coin.
The 1901 and 1853 should be certified by PCGS or NGC, or if you are
selling them, submitted though a major coin auction house such as
Stack's or Heritage, which will get them certified for you.
Thanks for the responses for the two who responded and the 28 who
looked but did not respond. The two responses were in close
agreement. I looked at the Heritage site and the best I saw was a
MS62. I thought mine looked better than theirs but I still have no
idea of how to objectively come up with 11 different grades of
uncirculated coins.
Yes they were $50 each. At the time I was earning $.50 an hour so it
represented 100 hours of labor. In hindsight I should have bought
more of the 1853's.
Since I don't feel like paying income taxes on the gain they will
continue to reside in the bank safety deposit box. At least now I
have pictures of them to look at.
You really should get them certified and leave instructions so that
your heirs will not sell them for melt
to the "hotel/motel coin buyers" that run the full page newspaper
ads.

Thanks for the advice. I will do it. I sent a picture or the 1853
$20 to Heritage Auction. They say it is worth $2000 to $3000.
I was one who went to open one of your links and was greeted by this
from my anti-virus program:
"This Web site has exhibited suspicious behavior or is similar to Web
sites that are known sources of malware, viruses and spam. Visiting
this site may put you at risk or compromise your identity or privacy."
I'm sure your site is safe, but I'd rather err on the side of caution.
Jerry, the Paranoid
I don't blame you for being paranoid. That is interesting. Which
anti-virus program are you running? The page is very simple with 4
pictures and a page counter that runs a java script. Does your
anti-virus object to running java? If you are familiar with HTML you
can view the page source before opening a page to see if there are any
lurking within. A page counter not reveal any personal information,
but any time you visit a web page the following is visible to that web
page:

I'm running Webroot Complete. My son, who recently "graduated" as the
head Geek of my local Geek Squad to some tech honcho at Apple's
flagship store in Boston, cleaned up my computer a couple of years
back, upgraded everything, and installed Webroot. It has no problems
running Javascript. As for all the rest, I plead ignorence. While a
lot of my friends think I'm a whiz at computers, the truth is I'm a
novice. As for being paranoid, I'd like to think I'm being prudent
with personal information. Even my Facebook page is extremely
limited. In fact, you guys here on RCC probably know more about me
than my "friends" on FB.
