Is it just me or can you no longer do a simple search like "pcgs"
under coins on ebay. I seem to be getting all these categories and
then it goes into all coins ......... cannot get to pcgs only. Why do
they keep changing stuff.

As always, if you use the term "pcgs" in a search it will bring you all
auctions with "pcgs" in the title. I doubt you'd need to look under the
Coins category. All the results will probably be coin-related. Or am I not
understanding your problem?

Hi Bruce

That is what I used do but tonight all seems to have changed on ebay .

May be my pc settings are wrong or got mixed up.

No when I search " pcgs" I get lots of info but not the usual pcgs
list.

I just tried a search on "pcgs" under "All Categories" and got about 20,000
results, all coin-related auctions.

Hi Bruce

It just must be me ! when I do the search I get 20000 like you but
scroll down and everything is mixed up .. some PCGS but lots of un-
related stuff which leads you into non pcgs.

Thanks for looking.

Hopefully it will resolve itself .. I also got a popup survey " help
us improve" may be it is just me!!

Why search PCGS from the main page (if you are looking for coins).
Search from the coin page.

What a pain in the butt.

I have my search parameters on pcgs ms67 rd for the past 6 years and the
search just showed the coins listed as such.
NOW YOU CAN'T DO THAT !!!

EVEN IF YOU GO WITH EBAYS PARAMETERS AND CLICK ON UNCIRCULATED, CLICK ON
PCGS YOU STILL THE GET THE SAME
COINS!! IT'S LIKE SEARCHING FOR A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK NOW. THIS REALLY
SUCKS....

oh well.... on to better sites....

I just typed pcgs ms67 red into the blank on eBay's homepage,

http://www.ebay.com/

find _____ in coins,

and got 28 listings for, well, pcgs ms67 red coins. I then converted it
from best match to newly listed.

Here is the resulting URL, which I hope is not too obscene:

http://coins.shop.ebay.com/Coins-Paper-Money-/11116/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A2124&_nkw=pcgs+ms67+red&_dmpt=Coins_US_Individual&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=10&_sc=1

Once I'm on that page I add it to my Favorites in Internet Explorer and it
comes up in the latest version faithfully any time I want it. No muss, no
fuss.

Try it. This is how I've searched for coins for years and years.

I agree with The Simplifier. I've always done eBay searches the same way.
Nothing has recently changed on eBay that I have experienced. I start with
my IE Favorites link and then do other searches from there. As I type the
first letter(s) or numbers(s) in the search window, a drop down list of past
searches appears that I can select from. Noel or Florence or Jan must have
unwittingly made some adjustment on eBay that is causing the problem.

Guys, I have made no adjustments.

Instead of getting just the coins listed at ms67 red pcgs
I am not getting a group of coins the description calls, ie,

1. 1939 coin 1 of 279 results.

this is something new and I don't know if it's localized
or what but when I use the link you guys gave me i get the same thing.

I used to only about 10 or so hits for the exact search, pcgs ms67 rd coins.
Now I'm getting hundreds of
unassociated hits.

I seem to remember something like this happening to me a couple years ago.
During routine fussing with my computer it somehow resolved itself after a
couple weeks. I have no idea what caused it. Obviously though, nobody here
who read your post is currently experiencing the same problem, so it's
likely some gremlin on your end.

After my recent reformat I started seeing that same nonsense, and figured
there might be a connection. That lasted only a few days, and I no longer
see it. In any event, the listings I wanted were below the garbage.

hello all again

Well my searches are back to normal now .... I did have that "tell us
how we're doing button" for a survey when this happened and that is
also gone.

May be random people were selected!

ok now

So what did you tell them about how they were doing? Or maybe they didn't
offer a button for that.

Your eBay gremlin may have spread its wings. As soon as you found that
things had returned to normal for you, I noticed that now whenever I do a
search, the term(s) apparently is no longer saved in the system.
Previously, when I typed the first letter or number of a search term, a
drop-down box appeared with matching complete terms from my past searches.
No more. Hopefully, with a dose of antibiotics, my gremlin will go away
like yours but won't jump to someone else.

Hi Bruce et al

Well to answer your prior Q I did reply as to how bad and
infuriating that search was and may be they well learn.... BUT BUT
here is another great fun example of what I faced today:

Go to "coins and money" category and search Libertad and you get them
all get them all.

But if you add " ngc libertad" to get the graded ones... good old ebay
will change Libertad to "Liberty" as they just want to help ... :)
gotta love it ..

I did this just now and got 305 hits.

I did this just now and Libertad remained listed as Libertad.
