A new commemorative coin to celebrate ten years of the euro
is to be issued in all euro-zone states. (Example:
http://easyurl.net/UglyEuro )
The design from the Greek Central Bank, which was chosen
following an online vote, features a stylized human figure
in the centre of the coin whose left arm is extended by the
euro symbol.
The name of the issuing county will also appear. Some 84
million commemorative coins are to be issued...
Uhhh... I think that's a Celtic imitation of a commemorative
euro. ;-)

Ugh. Can't say I like the alternatives any better though, except maybe
the first one:

And thre reults of the vote:
Double-Ugh! They chose the stick figure over the pretty logarithmic
spiral?

But is it really Celtic, or is it Thracian? :) Wow, they actually
managed to pick by far the worst of the suggested designs. Next time
I hear someone complain about the uninspired designs of most of the
state quarters, I'll remember our poor brethren on the other side of
the pond.

Yes! Could be Thracian!
Amen on the artwork. Looks like something you find hanging on a
refrigerator door.
Anka <------- missing the NYC show - again! :-(
