As you have no doubt gathered by now, condition is very important in a
collectible coin's value. Assuming you are referring to Philadelphia mint
coins above, the coins could be worth from a few dollars to thousands.
Making a sight-unseen guess and if you have typical specimens, a few dollars
for the quarter and about ten dollars for the half are what you could expect
to receive after sale.

They are not at all rare, except in high mint state, and that is called a
"conditional rarity".

Now if you bought a Red Book (for purchasing coins) and a Blue Book (for
selling coins), you could determine the coin's conditions and look up their
expected value in your home. If you like US coins at all, the Red/Blue
books are well worth the few bucks they cost.
