The Canadian federal government announced in its budget that paper
Canadian currency will become plastic and have new security features
next year. Its $2 and $1 coins will also receive new changes.

Yeah, I saw on another group where they said that the $10 and $20
bills would be first, then the $50 and $100 later on, BUT there was NO
mention of them doing this to their $5 bills, which leads some of us
to believe that a Canadian $5 coin might not be too far off.
Otherwise, you'd think that they would plan more durable $5 bills
first as they wear out quicker than $10s ans $20.
