The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan released five
new types of collection coins.

There are three types of 1-som coins, devoted to
the Kyrgyzstan on the Great Silk Road series with
images of the Burana Tower, Tash Rabat memorial
complex and the Uzgen architecture complex. There
are also two 10-som coins with images of Kyrgyzstan
and capitals of EurAsEC member states.

Silver and copper-nickel coins are minted out in
the Kazakhstan's monetary house with circulation
of 19,000 pieces.

"The coins are well-designed. The first portion of
coins will be set to auction on Thursday, December
19, 2008. The starting bid for a 1-som coin is 110
soms, 1,800 soms and 2,220 soms - for a 10-som coin,"
the NB head of the board Zair Chokoev said.
