WTF? This is for my longstanding subscription order for 3 AES dollars! Who
the hell got there first?

Greetings from the United States Mint.
Thank you for ordering from the United States Mint.
We regret to inform you that the item(s) listed below
are currently sold out. A customer service representative
will be happy to assist you in finding an alternative item.

Got the same email this morning, after getting a backorder notice.

Alhough you are essentially "inside the Beltway" obviously you aren't
that close to the PTB.

From here on out, the good stuff is gonna get rationed to those with
the "right" connections.

Those with the "left" connections rarely understand precious metals
anyway (but Lenin did).

I'm sure that "they" would be glad to sell you copper-nickel proofs.

Honestly, you should go to Union Station or to the D.C. Mint HQs and
see if you can snag the odd leftover.

I got it too, and called them. They are not sold out, the email was sent
in error. Your order will be revived and you will receive an email on
Monday or Tuesday informing you of the error.

You can call 1-800-USA-MINT to confirm.

I got the same email.
Just got off the phone with the Mint, those emails should not have gone
out, expect a retraction.

The mint still shows the 19th for the release date, so they can all
the subscriptions so they have something to release?

I had received the same type of email, and when I called the operator
started with an explanation of the subscription email snafu.

Problem is, I had ordered the briefly-available 2009 DC/Territories
Silver Proof Set, and that is in fact out of stock.

I would love to offer some time, in exchange for some free samples, to
help their web page have a better understanding
of how many of X is available so schmucks like me don't order willy-
nilly with no chance of getting the item(s).
