I found it amazing to recently read that about 50% of US households, mostly
those with young kids and lots of tax credit benefits, either owe no federal
income tax or actually are owed money. Ouch!

Obama has not proposed any VAT tax. But I thought the Republicans were
all for these taxes, as they don't tax income and are
regressive to the poor.

I see nothing here other than an "Advisor" "suggesting" one should be
"considered." Key words in quotes. Quite the jump from there to "OBAMA'S
