I wonder how many Gold Coins could be made from this brick?
A visitor touches the world's largest solid gold brick
weighing 220kg (worth over US $7.8 million at today's
price), at the Jinguashi Gold Museum in Ruifang, Taipei
county, on December 2, 2009. (SAM YEH/AFP/Getty Images)

..
One 220kg coin, 220,000 1g coins, or several other possibilities in between.
James the Apothecary
The U.S. gold dollar was 1.672g. The California fractionals would have all
been less than a gram apiece. So, yup, pretty small, but not without
precedent.
James the Numismatic Historian
Its sheer weight will make it quite hard to nick, and
it is small enough to prevent too many people getting round it!
