I have an old stapler which seem to be working right only when it
wants. I crush quite a few staples which I then have to remove and
staple again. It's time consuming and wasteful.
Just wondering what everyone does here.
Thanks
Patrick
I use a MAXHD-10DFL Stapler fed with MAX No. 10 staples. The machine is
small but hefty, is built very well, and has the advantage of flattening the
crimp side of the staples so that you don't have to do it with pliers.

Where did you buy it? Is this model still in retail?
Thanks
Patrick
I bought mine from a supplies dealer at a coin show, but you can get one
from Brent-Krueger:

I use the MAX HD50DS myself (also from Brent/Krueger in the same link)
- it uses standard staples and makes them flat as well. The stapler
is designed with a special mechanism that flattens out the staple from
the bottom - so the force is applied more evenly than a standard
stapler which works only from the top down. I have never had it mess
up a staple. A little pricier, but I think it's worth it ... although
I don't know if the 10 DFL has the same mechanism or not.
I purchased a Max brand stapler at a retail quality office supply store
a few years ago. You might check with your favorite local office
supply.

You for real? If you staple a coin with either plastic or steel it'll
scratch won't it? Steel rusts but you want to keep them dry anyway right?
mk
Yeah, but who the hell would try to staple the coin itself? Maybe some
Pollack named Kolodziej? I'm talking about accidental mishaps, such as
accidentally getting the coin too close to the edge of a staple and the
metal ones are much more apt to leave a visible scratch.
If there is a chance that you might staple your coin maybe you could tape
the flips closed.

just trying to help out
You're alright. I tried to reel you in all the way, but you didn't take the
bait.
Hi
Thanks to all, I will get one from the krueger site provided. Funny
also the joke about trying to real in "MJKolodziej" but he didn't take
the bait ;-)
Thanks to all
