Submitted my first "forgery report" on ebay

Then I noticed the mint mark wasnt what it should be - M for Mexico (N is
for Columbia).
Of course, looking it up, its rarer than a 1804 US Dollar.
Hard work to be able to report it as a forgery however.

If ebay was interested in reducing the number of fake items listed, not just
coins, banning sellers based in China would reduce the number of fake items
by 99%.
I'm surprised that the widespread fee avoidance practiced by many sellers
based in China does not get most of them NARUed. Billy.

I have seen some of the Chinese sellers charging $65 S&H yet they eBay
will still not end the
auctions.

A common amount for them to charge for postage is £68, their items often
sell at 99p or 99c.
They make a loss of £1 on the bit of tourist tat they sell for 99p as an
"antique" and make a large profit from the postage charge. Billy

listed on Ebay. Just about every U.S coin ever made is there.On a lot of
these the price is a measly 10 cents with a $3.60 shipping charge.
How do you make money doing that? The only way I see is if someone buys
multiples and you charge 3.60 each for shipping.

What boned me about this auction more than the usual china fakes was that it
had a high (£200) price - which would have been about the right price should
it had been real and of the mint described (perhaps even to low) instead of
the usual 99c item / $100 postage.
