It is a 2 piece holder that goes together and allows the coin edge to also
show (thus the name coin edge). A better idea of it can be found at
www.coinedge.com or Brent Krueger also carry them. I have most of my coins
in them but I am interested in what others think of them.

I've been using Coin Edge holders as my primary storage/display device
for several years. I am not particularly fond of the Coin Edge albums,
but I find that Coin Edge holders fit well into the 2x2 pockets of
Eagle albums.

Coin Edge holders work very well for most US coins, however I find
that they have one major problem.

In order to insure anti-rotation qualities, the diameter of the coin
needs to closely match the coin holder (this close fit is probably why
they work so well for most of my coins). Older US coins, whose
diameter can vary due to age abuse or manufacture standards, may not
fit into their designated holders. I find this is mostly a problem
with Large Cent, Half Cent, and both types of Three Cent coins. For
similar reasons, most Coin Edge holders are not ideal for foreign
coins, nor can you successfully use larger holders for smaller coins
(e.g., a dime in a cent holder).

However, when you factor in the three important qualities of a coin
holder (cost, protection and display) I find that the Coin Edge
holders meet my requirements.
