stickers could ever be removed and transferred to another slab. I
replied that a hair dryer and razor blade would remove most any kind
of security sticker, and never rely on a security device alone to
verify authenticity. That's pretty much verbatim from a US Department
of Defense industrial security course I had in the 1990s. The
following responders told me it was impossible to remove a CAC sticker
intact, and then accused me of telling people how to facilitate fraud.
(How does it facilitate fraud if I am describing something that's not
possible?)

Next time you might try using freon 12 (the stuff that depletes the
ozone layer). A few years ago, you could still get it at Radio Shack as
an electronic component cooler. Spray it on the sticker and the glue
becomes brittle for a few seconds and pops right off. The glue should
stay on the sticker and be reusable in moments.

I certainly do not know whether or not CAC stickers can be removed and
placed on a different coin but it wouldn't surprise me if it could be
done.
That's not the real problem, I predict.
My prediction is that counterfeit stickers of high quality will hit the
market eventually and probably not in the too distant future; my
prediction is within six months.
And, please, when it happens, don't accuse ME of doing it or of having
had anything to do with it just because I predicted it. (And I promise
you, just because I "knew" and predicted that PCGS was going to add plus
signs didn't mean I had insider info....I did not.....it just made
sense, just like my idea of "rational grading" - averaging the graders
grades together -- will eventually become how grading is done.)
....a friend of mine had some holographic stickers made for around
3K.....(not CAC stickers....)
Also, I think CAC is making a big mistake by not making images available
for viewing on their website of the coins that they sticker.
I think what we need is three catagories of PQ.....I propose
......Incredible, Exceptional and Worthy.....and I think those
characterizations can be assigned based soley on knowing what holder a
coin is in AND by having high quality images. The problem is that I am
not sure the market will go with that.....yet....
And on that note, I am working on a new website....IncredibleCoins.com.
Initially it will be primarily a central informational site identifying
the best coins available on the market and who has them for sale, and an
all around coin portal.
