"Qui hic mixerit aut cacarit, habeat deos superos et inferos iratos."
Two are listed in ebay stores: $325 and $339.50.
PCGS Price Guide: $390.
Heritage Completed Auctions for PCGS/NGC range from $250 to $400.
Average price about $350.
By ICG, I'd guestimate $300 would be a fair price.
Jerry
Hmm.So,$142.50 would be a pretty good deal then.

I'll admit that I was being facetious and that I was mistakenly quoting the
PL price.
$142 sounds like quite the deal!
Okay, so I've heard that between 300.00 and 350.00 is a pretty good buy. I
think I hit a home run. I'll know for sure in about 4 days.
If you get it for $142, crack that puppy and off it to PCGS.

It's already bought and paid for. From what I could tell It has that "look"
of a really high end Morgan. Once it arrives I'll be able to judge better
whether it will crossoover at the same grade. I'd rather send it to PCGS but
I'm an NGC(Collectors society) member at the moment. They have been extra
tough on grading in the last 6 month or so.
Or, in other words, they have actually been accurately grading the
coins submitted to them.
Oh no, the end of numismatics as we know it, just imagine (it's about time,
though, I'd say)!
James
Possibly. Or they take the lowest grade of the three rather than the two
highest. Some say it's all CAC's fault. Hmm.
Arrived today. Man,it's now the best coin I own. What a beaut!! Definitely
crossover material. link to pic. Overexposed I think, but close.

If you send it in, your present euphoria may be dashed by the coin graders.
If that happens, will you still think "What a beaut!"? Will you be angry at
them? At yourself? At numismatics in general? Will you stomp away from
the hobby like some of the people who write letters to the editors of the
coin weeklies? Think about it. Think about it some more. And enjoy your
coin!
James
Definitely a nice coin. Minimal contact marks, which is what most of
the Morgans I've ever seen have an abundance of. From your scan,
there may be a PL in its future. Good luck on the crossover.
Jerry
Been through it before. I'm a grown man and have a pretty thick skin.
Besides, why do you need to make comments like that?

Jerry
Thanks Jerry. Pretty much any spots or marks are on the holder. I've never
seen the hair so deep and clear. I don't think it will be a PL.
I haven't decided whether I'll cross it or not. If I do,I will specify the
grade to be MS 66. So,I lose $15 + shipping. That should satisfy
Mr.Jaggers.No disappointment here.
You've been hyper-enthusiastic about this coin from your first post, and
that's OK. I like seeing people being excited about anything numismatic.
But I don't even know your name, or much of anything about you for that
matter, so you shouldn't expect an answer that has been customized for you.
I've heard enough "the slabbers done me wrong" stories to fill an
encyclopedia, that's why I make comments like that.. Are you offended that
I exhorted you to "enjoy your coin"? If so, mille pardons. I'll not bother
you again.
James
No.You just sounded like a wet blanket. I imagine I did overdo it some.
After all, I never had one this good and worth the money as this is. I had
a great time winning it and finally being able to get it in my grubby hands,
so I thought I'd share. Maybe I sound like a idiot on paper, but I do know
something about coins. Not alot. Just enough to get in to trouble.
