coins i found roll hunting and got given to me

rewarding not so much financially as it is relaxing i enjoy it so much
funny story on how i got started my young niece wanted to buy me a gift
for my birthday thinking back to my youth i remembered i used to love
counting pennies i didnt care if they was wheats memorials canadian or
indian i just loved counting them so she buys me 6 rolls i find a 1907
indian and im hooked its funny the banks around here help me cause im
disabled and they save rolls with indians or wheats or canadians in the
end give them to me at face value also another bank gives me any foreign
coins they find because its the policy of the bank not to use them so
from them i got quite a few canadians and other world coins then a lady
at a gas station i use i told her i collect she says come back tomorrow
i have some wheats ill give you i figure ok ill get one or two common
wheats from the 50s maybe some 40s i find a 1919 a 1930 a 1934 and a
1937 and 1939 all mixed in a plastic bag which contained 50 or more of
them and a honduras dime i just got another 1907 indian from a roll
recently a friend gave me a steelie and a buffalo nickel what do you all
have being disabled i dont get out much to do any coin shows and i love
reading what other folks have

Congratulations and welcome to the hobby. You gotta do something to
stay off the streets.
A short story. One day, my son decided he wanted to put together a
circulated set of Kennedy halves. When he got frustrated with the
difficulty of checking the banks' tellers' coin trays, he asked me for
help. I suggested he buy a few rolls and search them. He bought a
$500 box. He found a fair number of 40% silvers and 1964s. Also a
few Franklins (he still has those), and a Walking Liberty. He gave
that one to me. It was a 1943 in VF-20. Nothing spectacular, but a
wild find, just the same. Oh yeah, he finished his set, most are in
pretty decent (XF or better) shape.
And as a final help, I bought him the 1987-P and D raw and a PCGS
MS-65 1970-D.

Very cool... I only wish to have $500 to put into such an endeavor :-/
I am limited to cent boxes at the moment, but aspiring to graduate to
nickels soon ;)
