At the Fort Worth Coin Club show 2 weeks ago, we saw a barely VF
Trade dollar in an ANACS AU50 slab in a dealer's case. Close
examination showed some cracks along one edge of the slab, but nothing
worse than we have seen with sloppy sonic sealing on numerous slabs
from all companies. The dealer was VERY embarrassed and busted it out
in front of me. Now I have spotted one on ebay that I am almost
certain is the same type of fraudulent item. No way this is EF45, and
something funny is going on with the seam on the slab, visible on the
LEFT side even though the edge is not visible.

Gee Frank, you must be some kind of a god, another coin dealer busted

I pointed out the obvious cracking along the seam, and he always
wondered why ANACS
had graded the coin so high. Why do you consider my opinion
"dubious?" Or is this that
Finnan asshole on yet another nameshift?

Maybe "Helen in Hell" can back your story up, Frank. Sounds like a
tedious pud-pulling afternoon down in the Metroplex.

I agree.....slabs are overrated and overpaid for by suckers. Probably the
best thing that could possibly happen would be for bogus coins to find their
way into slabs and for tampered slabs to become commonplace, in order to put
an end to the imprecise art of 3rd party grading.

Way to run down the competition, Fwankie.
BTW, when are you going to explain to the coin collecting public why
eBay yanked your "Power Seller" status?
As it is, we can only speculate that it was due to unethical (or worse)
behavior on your part.
Anyway, let's all report Fwankie to eBay for auction interference.

Slabs are overall a huge plus for collectors, and while the grading
can be debated, you can be close to 100% sure that the coin is real

Fwankie, why no answer as to why eBay stripped you of your "Power
Seller" status?

RWF should probably issue an apology for harassing Provasek about the
Powerseller thing, after finding out that his mother passed away. Who would
have known that Helen Wallace was Frank's mother?

Actually no. She was a well known internet user, (even mentioned in
her obit in the Fort Worth Star Telegram)

A few posts were forged under her name,to make it APPEAR that she was
a sock puppet, saying "Frank Provasek
is an honest and ethical dealer" then crossposted to many groups to
create a flame war. She was extremely outspoken,
and conservative, and perhaps too willing to get into online fights
with trolls.

Her last letter to the editor appeared in the local paper 3 weeks
after her death

You?
That's what makes "her" your sockpuppet, you incredible dolt.
Now tell us the REAL reason why eBay stripped you of your Power Seller

Actually, since my coin club was sponsoring the show, and I spotted
the
altered slab, the bourse chairman confirmed it, and told the seller
(who acknowledged
that something was "not quite right" with the slab) crack it out, or
get a cart.

What do ya think?
Another one of Provasicko's fantasies?
At times Fwankie appears to be delusional.
He's been shown to be a liar time and again in this NG.
"get a cart"?
I would have told you and the bourse chairman to take a flying fuck at

We don't tolerate misleading items at our shows. When Everett Hull was
running our show, he
did load up a guy's cases on a cart who was selling a bunch of fake
blowtorch toned silver
dollars.

What is the "Fwankie" and "Provasicko" stuff? This only shows your
vindictiveness and level of childishness. Nobody listens to you or
your
sockpuppets. You have zero creditbility here.

Bob Finnan pretends not to know what a forged Usenet post is. The
Google archive proves
otherwise:

Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2001 12:47:41 -0700
From: kam...@dogeared.com (Scot Kamins)
Newsgroups: rec.collecting.books
Subject: "Terrorist" comments did NOT come from Bob Finnan

Folks,

Here's a note I sent to Bob Finnan and his response:

Scot,
This post did not come from me nor did the other ones
along this line I've spotted using
"fwd...@yahoo.com".
I use my public library to go online and,
unfortunately, the browser didn't automatically log me
out as it normally did, thus causing this problem.
This has been an ongoing problem in this library and
I'm not the only one who has been affected by this.
Both my Google Usenet posting account and my Yahoo
e-mail account were affected although both have now be
reclaimed.
After this date, any posts to the Usenet using my
"fwd...@yahoo.com" address are bogus and I would
appreciate an e-mail head up if you spot one.
Thanx,

I never said I didn't understand it, I said I suspect you were the
forger.
It is widely known that you've posted here under many sockpuppets over
the years.
Your credibility is zilch, Provasicko.
A search of the Google Groups archives:

reveals some questions about your sexual proclivities.
Care to address that issue, Fwankie?

Old news, all untrue, will not rehash this with you, especially since
