PCGS offers a service whereby a certified coin can be verified online:

http://www.pcgs.com/cert/Default.aspx?CertNo=&OrigUrl=%2fcert%2f

Does ANACS offer such a service?

http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/BarCode.aspx

That page states that the first six characters of the barcode
represent the PCGS Number. Does that mean that pcgs.com can verify
ANACS graded coins?

Hello

Base on the information below, I would say no. You
would need to contact ANACS and request a "pop report"
on coins they have graded.

FAQ - Other
What is a "Population Report"?

A population report (or pop report as it is commonly
called) is a full listing of all the coins a grading
service has graded. The ANACS pop report is arranged
by coin denomination, date, mintmark and grade.
