Went to an auction,held by the State of Florida. Included in one of the
lots purchased was a two coin set. It is in a dark brown case marked
united states congressional coins.Coins are dated 1779-1989. and are
bi-centennial of congress coins.The larger coin the Silver Dollar depics
an native american in full dress with the words Liberty on top edge and
the words in God we trust on the coins bottom.The smaller coin has the
bust of an native american in headdress,with bi-centennial of congress
on top,in God we trust and liberty on the bottom area,coin appears to be
1/2 ounce platinum.Have no disire to sell this set,but a coin club I
belong to stated its value at twenty dollars. rich...@webtv.net

silver closed today at over $16 and Platinum closed at over $1300 an
oz..........I would happily give you $40!

If the two coins bear the denominations "dollar" and "half
dollar" (for the smaller coin), then the smaller coin is copper-nickel
clad composition....no platinum.
