looking for new penny rolls

idea on how I can get OBW rolls of the newer pennies? They are out
there! However, every time I go to one of my local banks, I am told
they are only getting "old" pennies. That they did not receive any of
the new pennies in any great quantity. I really don't like the idea of
paying $5 per roll as these are NOT for resale. These rolls will be
saved for many years, as are all my coins, for my realitives to one
day find, and hopefully save for many years as well.

You're not the only one looking. One of my local bank managers said
they weren't going to order any new coins (except Prexibux) because of
the bath they took on shipping of the SQs. So keep looking and
hoping.

Check with your local coin clubs. Some may have bulk purchase programs
that reduce the cost of individual rolls.
Penny rolls have definitely been hard to get through the banks this
year.

I just finished sifting through a box of mixed cents (my 4th of the
year), and pulled
out 9 'Log Cabin' and 2 'Rail Splitter' reverse cents (along with 11
wheats and 4
foreign). They are out there, somewhere, but finding them in high
density is
challenging to say the least.
I have had slightly better luck with this year's quarters; got a
Puerto Rico reverse
during a stop in Puerto Rico (happened to be there on a cruise; not
going to try
that with American Samoa, Guam, or the NMIs).
