this seller backed out of a pre-sale on ebay for the new 25th anniversary
silver eagle set. please post if you have had a similar experience with a
terrible seller. the sellers id is: bellcom13

they sold the sets on a presale and then when the values went higher backed
out on me and resold to 3 other ebayers.

Same thing happened in 2001 with the Buffalo dollars. One seller was
pre-selling and got hit big time when (#1) the Mint limited sales to
five, and (#2) the price skyrocketed after they sold out in less than
a day.

At this point, about all you could hope to do is to (1) complain to eBay
(sigh) and (2) be glad you're not out any money. And maybe be more
skeptical of pre-sale deals for limited edition items in the future.

Unless you are dealing with a large company, presales in general are
bad news and I don't
know why Ebay even allows them. What if the seller drops dead before
he gets the stuff?
