You won't know until you try. But either post your picture directly on
a.b.p.n., or post a link to it here.

If you are using a newsreader, you should be able to download a list of
newsgroups that are available on your ISP. Beyond that, I must defer to
others more knowledgeable.

You could also upload your picture to a site such as photobucket and then

Or, in the clutch you could give a verbal description of the coin, i.e.
metal, diameter, shape, lettering, portrait, date, and if it's not too
exotic, I or someone else here may be able to help.

Hello

a.b.p.n. = "alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic"

Since your using Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3138 as a
news reader on either "att.net" or "prodigy.net" click on "newsgroup"
on the tool bar and then start typing the news group
"alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic" in the display window. If your
internet service provider has it listed in newsgroups, it will show
up. Click on GO TO to access it.

Wow, that's a puzzler. I doubt that it is a piece of real money. There's
nothing about it that would tie it to any nation or government. The only
thing that resembles a date is in the southeast exergue on the reverse side,
and even that is dubious, as there would be four numerals required. My
guess is that it is a game or gaming piece of some sort.

I gave it a look up in the Standard Catalog under Afghanistan, Morroco
and India, both 19th and 20th centuries. No luck.

Good eye! I've done business with that seller a number of times, and he
knows what he is doing.
