This article makes one false statement, it is not illegal to metal
detect in all cemeteries. You can actually get permission from care
takers and some cemeteries don't even require that. You might also
want to check with your state laws. I think the only thing most
cemeteries ask that you do not do, that do allow metal detecting is
not too detect on the graves.
