Long time no post here.

Are we getting a new set of quarters this year? I received a "Hot
Springs" coin. It is just like all the state quarters except for the
name of the state not being prominent.

Will the quarter collections ever stop seeing new coins????

Hope all are well.

The current program is to commemorate the various National Parks and
Sites from each state/district/territory.
It is scheduled to run through 2021 unless extended for another 11
years to get the "runner-up's".

Well, hello, stranger! Welcome back!

The Mint pretty much shot themselves in the foot with all these new
quarters. The Statehood Quarters went well. Territorials slowed
everything down a lot.

My own local banks claimed they "lost" money (other than by theft,
when does a bank ever lose money?) by ordering the SQs and not being
able to pass on their shipping and handling charges. So they stopped
ordering new quarters once the SQ program ended..

National Parks are the newest quarters; run pretty much like the SQs.
I would have collected the Territorials if I could have gotten them at
face, but paying $35 for $20 worth of quarters from the Mint seems
like highway robbery (after all, they're still only worth 25¢ each).
They're just overkill as far as I'm concerned.

Again, welcome back. We're always open so come back for a visit. :-)

Complete info on the designs and schedule are on the US mint website.

I actually got a full box of Hot Springs quarters form a bank. You
must be in a location within the USA that has a bank that depletes
their quarter supply and is serviced by a coin depot (armored carrier
or Fed Reserve Bank) that also depletes their quarter supply and needs
to order fresh new coin from the mint.

It wasn't the USMint that did this to themselves, this was IMPOSED upon them
by your (and my) Congresscritters.

A study of history will reveal that whenever an entire government is turned
over, the new regime is often worse than the one it replaced.
