This was posted previously but never appeared in rcc

Numismatic News discontinued their free ads to subscribers.
Instead you can now place a weekly free ad on their website
using a published code that discounts the regular price of six
dollars. The website is difficult to use because you have to navigate
through a maze of advertisements to get to the classified section to
brouse for coins or place an ad. Using this method for placing ads, I
have found it to have very low usage and in three weeks runing ads I
have had not a single response.

I wonder if anyone else has tried using their classified section and
their thoughts on the matter,

I could never figure out exactly how the old system worked. They had
a coupon you filled out for a paid classified
ad and also the free ads as well. Some categories in the free ads
were not a part of the paid ads and vice versa.

I always used the free ads but could never figure out the reasoning
behind having two systems of classified ads.

Never got a great response from the free ads but the cost was cheap
enough that is for sure.
