$1,200 in Coins Stolen From Bremerton Home

A 28-year-old Bremerton man claims that more than
$1,200 worth of quarters and loose change was
stolen from his home two weeks ago.
He claims that his friend, a 24-year-old Port
Orchard man, came over to his house to work on
his car and at one point went into the house to
use the bathroom. Later that night, the Bremerton
man noticed his 5-gallon jar of coins was gone,
but he did not report the incident.
Last Thursday, he noticed that the coins he kept
in two beer cans near the coin jar were also
gone. He thinks that his friend must have poured
those coins into the jar and took it.
The Port Orchard man denied taking the money.
Police are currently investigating the situation,
analyzing fingerprints and putting the friend
to a lie-detector test.
