Looks like Google Groups has caught up with about 10 days worth of
messages and is current again. I am with Earthlink which still has
Usenet access, but have NEVER been able to use if for 5 years because
they outsource to Supernews which doesn't recognize me as a valid
Earthlink customer because Earthlink provisions its DSL service
through AT&T, and Supernews' authentication shows me as an AT&T
customer and says NOT AUTHORIZED. .....Supernews won't talk to me
because I am not THEIR customer...Earthlink is...Earthlink says the
only fix would be to get a fixed IP address from AT&T and they could
add tell Supernews to add my IP to their white list...but AT&T won't
talk to me because I am not THEIR customer...Earthlink is. And
Earthlink doesn't offer fixed IP addresses for resold service, but
AT&T does, but they won't talk to me because I am not their
customer....
