I am not a coin collector just looking to preserve the dollar from
continued devalueation ......
I know..... know one knows for sure but just would like those who deal
with coins to give me their opinions of whats likely ????
Well, it's nice that you understand that expectations regarding the
future value and future monetary role of the U.S. dollar is the
primary driver in the present situation.
Gold and silver will do well over the long-haul, but they won't go up
in a straight-line.
The U.S. dollar will do badly in the long-run, but it will fluctuate
up and down too.
To make things even more difficult to follow, today, all the other
nations of the World utilize fiat currencies. Thus, changes in the
relative values of national currencies won't be an especially accurate
gauge of what's cheap and what's dear.
I don't espouse no savings for the uncertain future, but if a person
with moderate or extensive financial assets wants some tangible
"thing" or an expensive vacation or some other consumption item or
experience, I would say "Do It Now".

As long as the Federal Reserve keeps increasing the money supply (printing more
dollars), the price of precious metals in dollars will increase.
Currently the Fed is on a reckless path of inflating the currency by close to a
TRILLION dollars.
Gold and silver have been used as money since the beginning of recorded time.
Just because the government would like you to believe that they aren't and that
the fiat currency known as Federal Reserve Notes is, doesn't make it so.
A wise investor would have some precious metal holdings in their portfolio.
