Moy noted that about 29,000 coins had already been minted and that
43,000 had been ordered in the first eight days.

I wonder how many of those were ordered the first day?

I ordered mine the first day and now have a shipping date of 3-13-09

I wonder how the sellers who pre-sold the coins on eBay are handling
the delay. Giving a refund or telling their buyers they will have to
wait?

You would hope that they explained how the mint sometimes works.
