All this, and you think my Famous Dogs proposal is so odd? If you ask
me, the state bird proposal was even more ridiculous.

I notice the link from Coin Word was dated 08/27/02. Some
six years ago. You can see how far that proposal went.

Dogs on coins was done already, Canada 50¢. 50 states birds...without
looking it up, I would imagine that all the states that have the Robin
or the Cardinal would bring down the total different coins
considerably.
