The reverse inscription is WALTER ON LINC, showing that it was minted
in Lincoln by a moneyer known as Walter.

I live in Lincolnshire, which is why I bought this particular coin, even
though it is not a period I generally collect.

It's amazing how those letters lsuddenly become clear and eap out, once you
know what they are.
