Can you evaluate a value for this "french royal" coin

Hello,

I have this coin :
I have seen coins like mine on the net (

) but :
- they have more details
- none of them has the "PB" or "FB" between "benedictum" and "domini"

Can you help find a average value for this coin ?

You appear to have a French One ECU (Ecu of the Laurels) dated 1737,
the King is Louis XV, the BB (slightly overlaping) is a mintmark for
the city of Strasbourg.

Gadoury (the White Book, featuring the royal coins from 1610 to 1793)
shows this as a common date and mintmark combination.

Gadoury valued it at maybe 300 francs in 1978, there were maybe 6 or 7
francs to the dollar. Let's say 45 dollars back in 1978.

Your example is rather worn (this is the key factor besides the
intrinsic silver value), and forty to fifty dollars might be the right
price today.

If you got $50 or more, you should go to church and light a small to
medium-sized candle to your favorite saint.

It's a historic collectible, but lots of wear, so not really big
money.

It's historic enough to be a keeper. I might yet bid on that ebay

The ebay piece ended at $58.88 plus postage of $2.99. I was on it
myself until $50. I'd call it a bit nicer than the first coin. oly
