Local coin collector finally gets what she paid for

Last Update: 4:33 pm

Margarita collects things. For years she fancied dolls.
Recently her fascination turned to coins. "There's one
if you find it is suppose to be worth a lot of money",
she says.

Two years ago Margarita started making monthly payments
to the World Reserve Monetary Exchange. Every 3 months,
Margarita says the WRME was suppose to send her a batch
of coins. She claims the company fell months behind on
deliveries over a year ago. "They kept taking money but
never sending anything."

Statements show the company consistently hit Margarita's
credit card for about $100 dollars every month but she
told me she's only received one coin since last February.

"Every month I would get my statement and I would call
them and they would transfer me from one person to another."

Margarita also tried faxing letters to the World Reserve
Monetary Exchange, but nothing ever happened.

Once Margarita contacted me, I made two calls to the mint.
A supervisor called back to say they discovered the
problem. In an email a spokesperson explained, "The
situation was referred to our lead supervisor who
discovered the errors and refunded the amount owed and
made sure all orders were billed in full and shipped
to the customer."

Margarita says, "They called me back and said they were
going to make another adjustment for $800. If it was not
for you guys, I would not be able to get anything back."
