I would be interesed in trading e-mail concerning BIE lincoln cents with
other collectors. Of particular interest to me would be information as
to what other dates that may exist, relative scaricty of the various
dates and any information about any publications that may contain data
on the BIE cents.
Any information out there? Please post on r.r.c. or e-mail me.
Thanks,
Bernie

In the shameless self-promotion department, I currently have a 1956-D
RPM#1 cent, newly listeed in the Cherrypickers' Guide, with a 'BIE' die
break up for auction on eBay. This is a rare stage of this particular
RPM, and in the condition offered (AU) it is probably one of the finest
known.

To the best of my knowledge, the book "Major Variety and Oddity Guide
to United States Coins" by Frank Spadone is the only publication that
I know of that covers odd things like die cracks and BIE, and BIIE,
and various other "weird" stuff, along with a few DDO's DDR's and
RPMs.
They are relatively inexpensive. I picked mine up for $3. Although,
bear in mind, these weren't printed after 1981 to the best of my
knowledge. Check your local coin shop for one, or do like I did. I
went to a used book store and got one.
I hope that helps you out.

I think you must have missed Richard's reply which said:

A BIE cent has a die chip between the B and the E of LIBERTY that fills
up the space. Check my error pages below and you will see pictures of
typical examples.
