If anyone is left and still interested, RCC's official birthday is today. We're 21 years old; officially adults. It's too bad that we were infected with a major troll virus a few years ago which, essentially, killed a highly knowledgeable and fun group. Just the same, to those who remember the good times, Happy Birthday.

Thanks, Jerry!

I remember when it started. At first, there was a Usenet mail list, coins[at]cobra.uni.edu, from the University of Northern Iowa. One thing about Usenet - and the Internet generally in those days - was that commercial messages were prohibited.

At that time, the commercial online services included Genie, Prodigy, and CompuServe.

For myself, I drifted away from RCC and what little work I do in numismatics online is with CoinTalk, CoinPeople, NumisSociety, and The Esylum. The moderated boards avoid a lot of problems. Still, it is nice to know that RCC is still around.

Been here since 2000 my self. Didn't really care for all the attacks on new members.
