WTB: "Hand pulled proof" souvenir cards at FUN show

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing will be raffling off "hand pulled
proof" souvenir cards at the FUN show this week (1/8-11) in Orlando FL.
If you happen to be there, and happen to be lucky, you could make $20 -
$50 just for having your number drawn in a raffle (noon and 4PM Thurs,
Fri and Sat, noon only on Sun). It's a little complicated this year due
to TWO DIFFERENT cards being raffled off, so please see me at the SCCS
table (222) before the drawing, or at the drawing itself if you can't
make it to the table.
I'm usually wearing a plaid shirt and will have a sign stating "WILL
TRADE PREVIOUS YEAR'S CARDS FOR THIS YEAR'S CARD".

Nope, the FUN show this year was the BEP's one and only show, so you
won't see them (nor probably me ...) at Rosemont this summer.
FWIW, I managed to get seventeen of the eighty regular-sized "PPIE
Eagle" hand-pulled proof cards, and six of the forty "PPIE Diploma"
oversized hand-pulled proof cards ... worth the trip, I guess ...

What those BEP personnel are doing is just sheer abuse of their government jobs - "Gee, let's all go to Orlando at the height of the wintertime, and everybody else in the nation can just go play with themselves!".
These people should be docked for pay or vacation time, and unless the BEP can show that they made expenses plus some small profit in Orlando, any loss should be charged to those employees and supervisors who made the decision to go.
It seems more reasonable that the BEP set up at FUN, ANA and probably Long Beach, which gives some better geographical and calendar coverage. The BEP is, after all, the security printer for the entire nation and not just Uncle Walter's Florida kingdom.
At least they now charge something for what they used to give away for nothing! I "won" two of the special sheets at the 2013 Rosemont ANA and I paid pretty stiffly to redeem my "winning" ticket.

Going to ANA (or any big show) is all about cash flow. 2013 was flush, 2014 was bust (did not attend). I hang out at TEC (elongated coins) table or maybe at Chicago Coin Club table after I've made my coin and book purchases and seen the special stuff on the floor. I will keep you and the CWTS in mind if 2015 works out.
