I have drawn attention to this seller a few times as they offer vastly
overgraded coins and sometimes ones that are claimed to be "extremely rare"
"matt proof" coins etc. and the picture often included a Spink coin envelope
confirming the description, I was not convinced that the writing on the
envelope had been placed there by an employee of Spink however.

They have managed to part someone from £850 for this,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58529&item=8361426653

to me they look like a normal set with horrible toning. The buyer now
agrees and is most upset but I find it difficult to have any sympathy for
him..

A set from sand blasted dies has a catalogue value of £800 so why pay £850
on ebay for a set?

This supports my position of NEVER buy anything from anyone that includes
the word "invest" anywhere. Billy

I have also watched this seller with interest, they seem to have a hell of a
lot of "rare" coins........
I have bought a standard coin from them before but i wouldn't part with my
money for any high priced items such as this.

The bidder on there can always retract their bid if not happy!
